Johan Herselman and Donathon Jennings posted 62 stableford points to
win the Greenkeeper’s Revenge on Saturday. The format was betterball stableford
on the par 3s and par 5s and a combined stableford on the par 4s. With the tees
on slopes, the pins hard to find and hollowtyned greens testing conditions
laced with some entertaining shots were the order of the day. Neil Langley and Shane
Arthur were the runners up on a count out from Hein and Christian Voight both
pairs on 60 points. Yosuf Kana and Lionel Jacobs were fourth on 57 points on a
count out from Buk Venter and Pierre Fourie.
Alone on 21 points Bernie Bennett enjoyed a clear win in the Friday
Flamingo Casino Meat and Slots Niner. Three players followed on 20 points;
Peter Salo, Fareez Alexander and Donald Whitebooi. Frits van Dyk was the final
prize winner on 19 points in a fourway count out.
A missing Kevin Collings assured an increase in the CTCS snowball draw
the coming Friday.
A three way count on 17 points decided the KWV Niner on Thursday. Dave
Benade, Dave Wilson and Ant Crozier were the recipients of the wine.
Tony Datnow and Charles Malherbe, on 43 points, were the winners of the
Annabell’s BBS on Wednesday. Doc Doherty
and Lennie Allen were the runners up on 42 points. Weston Potgieter and Joshua
Edwards were third on 41 points.
