On Saturday Adrian McLaren
made short work of his fourball, the morning field, the afternoon field and the
course in carding a one under par gross 71 for 45 individual stableford points.
Pierre Wasserman was the runner up on 41 points. Shane Arthur was third on 40
points. The final prize went to Cedric van der Ross on 39 points.
Friday
|
After a gross 73 that
included a level par 36 on the opening nine for 22 points Eddie Barkhuizen
deservedly won the Sun Flamingo Niner on Friday. Four players followed on 20
points – Wade King, Susan Ferreira, Willie Uys and Donald Whitebooi.
J van Tonder posted 41 points
to claim the annual APK Die Kruis Church Fundraisers on Friday afternoon. Andre
Williams and Nico Jacobs were second and third on 37 points each. P Oliwage
(34), J Pienaar (33) and Mike Oertel (33) received the final prizes.
Thursday
|
Braam Botes returned the top
score in Thursday’s KWV Niner, 20 points. Ross Crozier, making a rear
appearance at the KGC, posted an eight pointer at the 14th to secure
second place on 17 points. Herby Woodbridge was third on 16 points aided by a
big six at the 15th.
Wednesday
|
A three over par 75 gross for
43 individual stableford points placed Gavin van Zyl well ahead of the field in
the Leon’s House of Liquor Wednesday competition. Bertie Burger was second on
36 points with Lennie Allen third on 35 points.
This Week at KGC:
This week KGC offers the
Horseshoe Inn BBS on Wednesday, the Spur Junior Challenge and KWV Powerplay
Niner on Thursday and Sun Flamingo Niner followed by the snowball draw on
Friday. On Saturday it is the final round of the Pennypinchers Winter Meat
Challenge.
