April's Monthly Medal
A count out on net 69 deemed Ronnie Engelbrecht as the winner of the Best Net Overall in Saturday’s April monthly medal. Loser in that count out, Sadick Thomas, claimed best net A division with Luchmen Poonawassy the runner up on net 70.
Hannes Herselaman, on net 72, was the winner of the B division with Frikkie Norman the runner up on net 75.
Buck Venter returned the best gross on the day, a two over par 74.
 

Nocci Golf Day
A fourway count out on 49 points was required to determine the top players in the annual NOCCI Golf Day held on Friday, the format a betterball stableford played from a scramble drive. Ultimately William and Calvyn Orton were first, Johan and Joanie Herselman were second, Ramon Barlow and Peter Salo were third and Schalk and Christo Botma were fourth. Conrad Fortune and Gavin Williams were fifth on 48 points on a count out from Carlo and Fareez Alexander.
 

SPUR Junior Challenge

Thursday saw the completion of the second Spur Junior Challenge with Hermus Venter the winner of both the stableford and the strokeplay sections.


 
This week at the Kimberley Golf Club
This week the Club hosts Konica Minolta Business League on Wednesday. On Thursday it is the Spur Junior Challenge along with the Diamond Niner. On Friday it is the Flamingo Casino Niner as well as the CTCS snowball draw. On Saturday the annual Mickey and Friends Golf Fundraiser takes place as well as the opportunity to complete round one of the Mellins i Style Betterball Matchplay Championships.

OJ Miamane claimed the Wednesday Leon’s House of Liquor sponsored IPS, his score 41 points. Gavin van Zyl was a close second on 40 points with Lennie Allen third on 37 points.


Braam Botes, on 21 points, enjoyed an outright win in Thursday’s KWV Diamond Niner. Nico Ross was the runner up on 18 points with Pierre Wasserman third on 16 points.




The Flamingo Casino 9'er was not played due to the Nocci Golf Day
