After an opening 18
point gain Crackers enjoyed the most success in the A section of the Sunday
Sealing Solutions League. They were followed by Sealing Solutions, just one and
a half points behind, on 16.5. In the B section it was league newcomers, the
Playas, who led the challenge on 18.5 points, closely followed by Pretenders on
16 points.
Despite his Friday’s
disappointment on Saturday Bernie Bennett posted a 68 to claim the Best Net
Overall and the February 2015 Rhodes Mug. Machiel Cronje and Mike Vigne
respectively returned the best net A and B division, both players on 69.
Likewise Pieter Botes and Deon Nel respectively finished runners up in the A
and B divisions, both players on net 70. Andries Kori carded the low round of
the day, a gross 74.
Young Fareez
Alexander, on 21 points, won the Friday Flamingo Casino Meat and Slots Niner.
Andries Kori (20), Christarico Gordon (20), Don Whitebooi (19) and Ramnath
Poonawassy (19) were remaining prize winners.
Nico Ross returned 20
points to claim the Thursday KWV Niner. Kevin Wakeford and Machiel Cronje were
second and third, each on 18 points.
A count out on 36
points saw Wikus Kok win the monthly Leons House of Liquor IPS on Wednesday.
Siewert Wiid was the runner up. Barend Burger was third on 35 points.
This week Wednesday
it is the opening round of the 2015 Konica Minolta Business League. Thursday
sees the start to the 2015 Spur Junior Challenge. There is also a KWV Niner. On
Friday there is a Flamingo Casino Niner and the CTCS draw. Saturday sees the
first KGC major, the 2015 MVD Kalahari Town Planning Masters. The format is
medal net over 36 holes played from a seeded draw. Golf cars wll be allowed.
There will also be a Masters Plate on offer for those outside the event. It is,
too, the February Seniors outing.
