NC Open Champion, deemed first, Riedwaan Sambo second. Ramon Barlow was
third, alone on 39 points. Nigel Page was fourth on a count out from
Luchmen Poonawassy. Both players returned 38 points.

The Late Halifax Monyobo was a celebrated golfer in
the Black Community. His interest in golf arose from his childhood days
as a caddy at the Old Course, situated in what is now Monument Heights,
the Clubhouse now the MOTH Club.
He went on to build the Monyobo Golf course in Green
Point, graduating to the Black Professional Circuit played under the
particularly trying circumstances and limited facilities allowed at the
time.
Kimberley hosted the first Non-European
